Job summary

Mission Critical Solutions (MCS) in Tampa, FL, is seeking an Audio Visual Project Manager to lead complex AV projects from kickoff to closeout, coordinating sales, engineering, fabrication, programming and installation teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of AV project management experience, can obtain a US DoD Secret Clearance, and will manage budgets, schedules, and risk while delivering high‑quality AV solutions for government and commercial clients.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical AV Project Management related experience.
• Experience managing teams of 6 or more.
• Proficiency with AV programming tools (Crestron, Extron, AMX, QSC, BIAMP).
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of AV equipment and control systems; familiarity with TCP/IP, RS-232, Dante.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate kickoff meetings among Sales, Engineering, Programming, Fabrication & Installation, Customer resources, and subcontractor resources.
• Create and manage detailed project schedules and coordinate resource scheduling.
• Place orders for project equipment and materials.
• Manage all project expenditures based on the budget and escalate profitability issues to management.
• Provide and review status/progress reports and escalate issues as needed.
• Identify and manage project risks and resolve issues with the team or via escalation.
• Ensure change orders follow established Tampa procedures.
• Manage and verify quality of work by internal and subcontracted resources.
• Become a subject matter expert with contract documents for each project.
• Maintain strong customer relationships focusing on on-time delivery, quality, communication, and problem-solving.
• Travel to various job sites as required.
• Provide close-out documentation to Tampa Service teams.
• Other duties as assigned.
