Job summary

Lawyers for Justice in Glendale seeks a Senior Attorney to lead a busy caseload of state and federal wage-and-hour, class, and representative actions against regional, national, and Fortune 500 companies.

You will develop case strategy, oversee discovery, take and defend depositions, draft dispositive and class certification motions, lead settlements, appear in court, and mentor junior attorneys on litigation best practices.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in California or pending admission to the California Bar.
• 8+ years of experience in civil litigation, including discovery, oral advocacy and court appearances.
• Prior experience with class actions, complex litigation, and wage-and-hour litigation is a plus.
• Candidates must be able to travel on occasion.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead an active caseload of wage-and-hour, class, and representative actions.
• Develop case strategy and oversee associate attorneys.
• Conduct discovery, take and defend depositions, and draft dispositive and class certification motions.
• Lead settlement negotiations and appear in court for hearings and trial.
• Mentor junior attorneys on litigation best practices.
