Job summary

Kings III in Coppell, TX seeks a Senior Attorney to advise executive leadership on governance, risk, and operations, and to draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements.

You will oversee licensing, regulatory compliance, and privacy matters while supporting cross-border matters with Canada and Mexico and guiding mergers and acquisitions due diligence.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and active Texas Bar license.
• 5+ years in corporate law, in-house or at a law firm.
• Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Knowledge of corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice and guidance to senior leadership on governance, risk, and operations.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide strategic legal advice and guidance to senior leadership, including C-suite executives, on corporate governance, risk, and business operations
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including customer, supplier, manufacturing, and lease agreements
• Oversee licensing management, including contractor and technician licensing and renewals
• Manage regulatory compliance efforts across multiple jurisdictions, including state, provincial, and local code requirements (e.g., elevator and pool regulations)
• Lead insurance program management, including general liability, E&O, and cyber coverage
• Manage litigation and disputes, including coordination with outside counsel
• Provide guidance on privacy, data security, and incident/breach response
• Advise on cross-border legal matters involving Canada and Mexico, including employment, customs, and commercial relationships
• Support mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and post-acquisition integration
• Provide legal support to HR on employment-related matters
• Oversee intellectual property protection and strategy

What You’ll Bring:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active license and good standing with the Texas Bar
• Minimum of 5+ years of corporate law experience (in-house or law firm)
• Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
• Demonstrated knowledge of corporate governance and regulatory compliance
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Ability to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally
