Job summary

Kings III is seeking a Senior Attorney to serve as a trusted partner to the business, advising executive leadership on governance, risk, and regulatory matters. You will draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements and oversee licensing, compliance, and privacy issues across jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school; active Texas Bar in good standing.
• Minimum 5+ years of corporate law experience (in-house or law firm).
• Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts; governance knowledge and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice to senior leadership on governance, risk, and business operations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements (customer, supplier, manufacturing, leases).
• Oversee licensing management including contractor and technician licensing and renewals.
• Manage regulatory compliance across jurisdictions (state/provincial/local).
• Lead insurance program management (GL, E&O, cyber) and manage disputes with outside counsel.
• Provide guidance on privacy, data security, and incident/breach response.
• Advise on cross-border matters involving Canada and Mexico; support M&A due diligence and integration.
• Provide HR legal support on employment-related matters; oversee IP protection and strategy.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide strategic legal advice and guidance to senior leadership, including C-suite executives, on corporate governance, risk, and business operations
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including customer, supplier, manufacturing, and lease agreements
• Oversee licensing management, including contractor and technician licensing and renewals
• Manage regulatory compliance efforts across multiple jurisdictions, including state, provincial, and local code requirements (e.g., elevator and pool regulations)
• Lead insurance program management, including general liability, E&O, and cyber coverage
• Manage litigation and disputes, including coordination with outside counsel
• Provide guidance on privacy, data security, and incident/breach response
• Advise on cross-border legal matters involving Canada and Mexico, including employment, customs, and commercial relationships
• Support mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and post-acquisition integration
• Provide legal support to HR on employment-related matters
• Oversee intellectual property protection and strategy

What You’ll Bring:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active license and good standing with the Texas Bar
• Minimum of 5+ years of corporate law experience (in-house or law firm)
• Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
• Demonstrated knowledge of corporate governance and regulatory compliance
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Ability to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally
