Job summary

Kings III Emergency Communications is seeking a Senior Attorney to provide strategic legal guidance to executive leadership and oversee a broad scope of corporate matters. You will draft and negotiate commercial agreements, manage licensing and regulatory compliance, and coordinate with outside counsel on complex disputes.

This role focuses on privacy and data security, cross-border legal concerns with Canada and Mexico, and collaboration with HR on employment matters.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Active Texas Bar license in good standing.
  • Minimum 5+ years corporate law experience (in-house or firm).
  • Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
  • Knowledge of corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic legal guidance to senior leadership on governance, risk, and operations.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements (customer, supplier, manufacturing, leases).
  • Oversee licensing management and contractor licensing renewals.
  • Lead regulatory compliance efforts across jurisdictions (state/loca l codes).
  • Manage insurance programs (general liability, E&O, cyber) and outside counsel coordination.
  • Guide privacy, data security, and incident/breach response.
  • Advise on cross-border matters with Canada and Mexico; assist M&A due diligence and integration.
  • Support HR on employment-related matters and IP strategy.

What You'll Do
  • Provide strategic legal advice and guidance to senior leadership, including C-suite executives, on corporate governance, risk, and business operations
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including customer, supplier, manufacturing, and lease agreements
  • Oversee licensing management, including contractor and technician licensing and renewals
  • Manage regulatory compliance efforts across multiple jurisdictions, including state, provincial, and local code requirements (e.g., elevator and pool regulations)
  • Lead insurance program management, including general liability, E&O, and cyber coverage
  • Manage litigation and disputes, including coordination with outside counsel
  • Provide guidance on privacy, data security, and incident/breach response
  • Advise on cross-border legal matters involving Canada and Mexico, including employment, customs, and commercial relationships
  • Support mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and post-acquisition integration
  • Provide legal support to HR on employment-related matters
  • Oversee intellectual property protection and strategy
What You'll Bring
  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active license and good standing with the Texas Bar
  • Minimum of 5+ years of corporate law experience (in-house or law firm)
  • Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
  • Demonstrated knowledge of corporate governance and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally
