Job summary

Kings III is seeking a Senior Attorney to guide the business in legal strategy and governance from the in-house team. You will advise senior leadership, draft and negotiate commercial agreements, and oversee regulatory compliance across jurisdictions.

The role requires a JD and Texas Bar license, 5+ years in corporate law, and the ability to partner cross-functionally with finance, operations, and HR while managing risk and enabling sound decision-making.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active Texas Bar license in good standing.
• Minimum 5+ years of corporate law experience (in-house or law firm).
• Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Demonstrated knowledge of corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide strategic legal advice and guidance to senior leadership, including C-suite executives, on corporate governance, risk, and business operations
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including customer, supplier, manufacturing, and lease agreements
• Oversee licensing management, including contractor and technician licensing and renewals
• Manage regulatory compliance efforts across multiple jurisdictions, including state, provincial, and local code requirements (e.g., elevator and pool regulations)
• Lead insurance program management, including general liability, E&O, and cyber coverage
• Manage litigation and disputes, including coordination with outside counsel
• Provide guidance on privacy, data security, and incident/breach response
• Advise on cross-border legal matters involving Canada and Mexico, including employment, customs, and commercial relationships
• Support mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and post-acquisition integration
• Provide legal support to HR on employment-related matters
• Oversee intellectual property protection and strategy

What You’ll Bring:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active license and good standing with the Texas Bar
