Job summary

MITRE is seeking a Lead ATT&CK Engineer to join the MITRE ATT&CK team. You will advance cyber intelligence capabilities, lead projects, and collaborate across MITRE to shape strategic and operational outputs for sponsors and the cybersecurity community.

You will guide teams, contribute to ATT&CK knowledge, and help integrate advanced analytic techniques and AI into threat intelligence workflows. This role requires on-site presence and a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with advanced degrees.
• Knowledge of adversary tradecraft and their use of cyber operations.
• Experience with US government cybersecurity agencies and relationships.
• Strong leadership and communication to mentor teams and collaborate.
• Strong technical writing to articulate adversary behaviors.
• Applied MITRE ATT&CK in operational environments and other analytic techniques.
• Familiarity with all-source intelligence databases and analytic tools.
• Eligible and able to obtain/maintain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to MITRE ATT&CK to help the global cybersecurity community.
• Author, refine, and update ATT&CK knowledge base from cyber intel.
• Apply cyber intelligence to help sponsors solve complex problems.
• Guide sponsors in building cyber intelligence capabilities.
• Review sponsor tools and advise on best practices and AI integration.
• Propose and perform R&D to advance cyber intelligence.
