MITRE’s Cyber Threat Intelligence department seeks a Senior Cyber Intelligence Engineer to join our team and advance cyber intelligence research and development for government and private sponsors. You will lead projects, collaborate across MITRE, and help shape cyber intel capabilities and programs in a national security context.

You will work onsite to apply MITRE ATT&CK techniques, contribute to trusted frameworks, and support complex analytical tasks that impact national and global security.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's, or 3 years with a Master’s, or a PhD with relevant experience.
• Demonstrated use of MITRE ATT&CK in operational environments and other structured frameworks and analytic techniques (e.g., Diamond Model).
• Knowledge of adversary tradecraft and cyber operations as a tool of military force and statecraft.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presenting technical analysis in written products and presentations.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S Government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Position requires a minimum of 4 days a week on-site.

• Apply cyber intelligence expertise to help sponsors solve problems across defense, critical infrastructure, and national security.
• Explain how cyber intelligence fits within sponsor missions and security programs.
• Guide sponsors in building and advancing cyber intelligence capabilities and programs.
• Review sponsor tools and recommend best practices, analytic methodologies, and AI integration opportunities.
• Propose and perform R&D to advance cyber intelligence.
• Contribute to MITRE ATT&CK to help the global cybersecurity community understand threat behaviors.
