Job summary

MITRE is seeking a Principal Cyber Intelligence Engineer to join our Cyber Threat Intelligence department in Massachusetts. You will apply cyber intelligence expertise to solve complex problems for government and private sector sponsors, guide capability development, and advance research including AI integration.

This role requires Top Secret/SCI clearance and on-site work four days per week. You will lead projects, mentor teams, review tools, and leverage MITRE ATT&CK® within operational

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years with a Master's; or 5 years with a PhD.
• Knowledge of adversary tradecraft and their use of cyber operations.
• Experience with U.S. government cybersecurity agencies and intelligence agencies.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to mentor teams and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated use of MITRE ATT&CK® in operational environments and other analytic techniques.
• Familiarity with all-source intelligence databases and analytic tools.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance; U.S. citizenship required; on-site work 4 days/week.

Responsibilities

• Apply cyber intelligence expertise to solve hardest problems across defensive cyber operations and critical infrastructure.
• Guide sponsors in building cyber intelligence capabilities and programs.
• Review sponsor tools and recommend best practices and analytic methodologies.
• Propose research and development to advance cyber intelligence and integrate AI.
• Contribute to MITRE ATT&CK® to aid the global cybersecurity community.
• Demonstrate expertise in intrusion, malware, threat actor profiling, and campaign tracking.
• Evaluate CTI tools and emerging technologies to improve intelligence collection and dissemination.
• Develop approaches integrating CTI with threat hunting, detection engineering, and incident response.
