Southern Methodist University (SMU) on campus seeks a Deputy Athletic Director to serve as Chief Development Officer for the Athletics program. The role leads philanthropy, donor engagement, and funding strategies to advance SMU Athletics priorities and capital projects.

The successful candidate will personally manage principal and major gift donors, build a strong development team, and align fundraising with university campaigns and priority initiatives. Evening/weekend availability is required.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• At least 7 years in athletics/sports fundraising or related field.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and lead a comprehensive fundraising strategy for SMU Athletics.
• Personally manage major gift prospects and closures.
• Lead the Athletics development team and coordinate with University leaders.
• Oversee annual giving, donor relations, events, and capital project fundraising.
• Provide forecasting, pipeline updates, and performance reporting to leadership.
