California State University, Chico seeks a Deputy Athletic Director for Compliance and Student Engagement to lead the department’s NCAA compliance and student-athlete initiatives. You will oversee Student-Athlete Success and External Operations, and provide sport-specific oversight for assigned programs.

The role includes serving as Deputy Title IX Coordinator and contributing to senior leadership in Athletics, ensuring compliance with NCAA, conference, CSU, and university policies.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in sports administration, higher education, business, or related field.
• Five years of progressively responsible experience in intercollegiate athletics administration, including NCAA compliance, student-athlete services, sport oversight, or related areas.
• Demonstrated experience interpreting NCAA rules, conference regulations, and institutional policies.
• Experience developing, implementing, and monitoring systems, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and institutional control.
• Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience over professional staff and complex functional areas.
• Master’s degree in sports administration, higher education, business, law, or related field (preferred).
• NCAA Division II or CCAA experience (preferred).
• Experience in public higher education or the CSU system (preferred).
• Sport administration experience with supervision of multiple professional staff (preferred).
• Title IX coordination or athletics-related student conduct experience (preferred).
• Experience using NCAA compliance software or student information systems (preferred).

Responsabilidades

• Lead the NCAA compliance program and student-athlete engagement initiatives.
• Provide direct supervision for Student-Athlete Success and External Operations.
• Serve as sport administrator for designated teams and participate on the Athletics senior leadership team.
• Act as the department’s Deputy Title IX Coordinator and ensure policy adherence.
