Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Assurance Manager to supervise audit engagements, direct field work, and drive engagement profitability through billing and collections. In this role you will advise clients on GAAP/GAAS, assess internal controls, supervise Associates and Senior Associates, and communicate effectively with management and Audit Committees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; major in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics preferred.
• Master's degree in Accountancy preferred.
• Active licensed US CPA required or equivalent.
• Five+ years of prior audit or assurance experience; supervisory experience.
• Experience with SEC/PCAOB guidelines and GAAP/GAAS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the work of audit team and review workpapers and conclusions, onsite during audit field work.
• Provide on-the-job training to engagement staff during field work.
• Advise clients on GAAP/GAAS issues and communicate with Audit Committee.
• Ensure engagement profitability including billings and collections.
• Plan the audit process and oversee execution of procedures with quality and timeliness.
