Job summary

BDO USA, LLP is seeking an Assurance Experienced Senior to coordinate day-to-day audit activities, lead fieldwork, and wrap-up tasks while applying GAAP and maintaining client communications. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics, required OR CPA certification, required.
• Three (3) or more years of prior audit experience and/or public accounting, private industry accounting or consulting/professional services experience, required.
• Eligible to sit for the CPA exams upon starting employment, required, and actively pursuing completion of the exams, required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, preferred; experience with assurance applications and research tools, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be the in-charge auditor, lead day-to-day audit activities and coordinate with the engagement manager.
• Document and test internal controls, assess deficiencies and communicate improvements.
• Read and review client SEC filings, ensure financial statements disclosures meet GAAP.
• Supervise a team of audit professionals and provide feedback to associates.
• Develop audit programs and budgets; manage timelines and resources.
