Job summary

BDO USA, LLP is seeking an Assurance Experienced Senior to coordinate day-to-day audit activities, including planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up, and to prepare financial statements with disclosures under GAAP.

The role requires supervising staff, communicating with clients and the Audit Committee, and applying SEC/PCAOB guidelines. CPA eligibility and strong MS Office proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics, required OR Bachelor's degree in other focus area and CPA certification, required
• Three (3) or more years of prior relevant audit experience and/or public accounting, private industry accounting or consulting/professional services experience, required
• Eligible to sit for the CPA exams upon starting employment, required, and actively pursuing completion of the exams, required
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, preferred; experience with assurance applications and research tools, preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day audit duties including planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up, and preparation of financial statements with disclosures
• Supervise audit staff and review workpapers and conclusions
• Communicate with client and Audit Committee; act as client contact for basic questions
• Apply GAAP, SEC and PCAOB guidelines and document application
• Prepare and/or review financial statements with disclosures in accordance with GAAP
