Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking an Audit Partner to join its Assurance practice serving middle-market clients. You will lead engagement teams, ensure quality, and deliver strategic insights that strengthen financial statements and operations.

You will mentor staff, collaborate across service lines, and help grow the firm’s practice while maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards in a dynamic public accounting environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required; masters or advanced degree desirable.
• CPA is required.
• Eight or more years of auditing experience in a professional services firm.
• Five or more years in Life Sciences, Technology and/or Manufacturing is preferred.
• Five or more years of supervisory experience and mentoring/counseling associates preferred.
• Strong management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project management and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and supervise others, deliver exceptional client service and maintain ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Proactively engaging with your clients throughout the year to understand business goals and challenges.
• Developing and implementing appropriate testing to assess deficiencies of internal controls and make recommendations for improvement.
• Managing all fieldwork to ensure quality service and timely delivery of results.
• Providing valuable financial statement guidance and business recommendations based on testing and information gathered.
• Delivering business insight through thoughtful review, analysis, and discussion.
• Managing engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensuring client profitability targets are met.
• Driving growth by generating new opportunities with clients and collaborating across service lines.
• Networking to build relationships internally and externally to acquire new clients and projects.
• Investing in professional development through firm-wide programs.
• Supporting growth and development of team members through Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy.

Education

Bachelor's degree in accounting

CPA certification
