Job summary

BDO USA is seeking an Assurance Experienced Senior to coordinate day-to-day in-charge duties, including planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up with a focus on preparing financial statements with disclosures under GAAP. The role involves client contact and may include reviews and agreed-upon procedure engagements.

The position emphasizes leadership of audit staff, adherence to timelines, and applying SEC/PCAOB and GAAS standards, with opportunities to grow within a national firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics required or Bachelor’s with CPA; Master’s in Accountancy preferred.
• Three or more years of prior relevant audit experience or public accounting, private industry accounting or consulting experience.
• Eligible to sit for the CPA exams upon starting employment; CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate timing of planning, fieldwork, and review with audit team and client; assist in developing the audit engagement budget.
• Develop the draft Audit Engagement Planning Memorandum, audit programs and budgets.
• Establish responsibilities of individual audit staff for specific areas of audit work.
• Monitor and report engagement budget to actual and advise engagement executives of overruns.
