BDO USA is seeking an Assurance Senior to coordinate day-to-day audit activities, including planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up with disclosures. The role involves client contact for basic questions, reviewing staff work, and applying GAAP and regulatory guidelines under SEC and PCAOB frameworks.

You will mentor junior team members, discuss complex accounting issues with engagement leaders, and contribute to audits for various clients. Strong communication and coordination skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics, required OR Bachelor’s degree in other focus area and CPA certification, required
• Master’s degree in Accountancy, preferred
• Eligible to sit for the CPA exams on starting employment, required and actively pursuing completion of the exams (CPA preferred)
• Two+ years of audit experience or equivalent in public accounting, private industry, or consulting (required)

Responsabilités

• Coordinate day-to-day conduct of the audit plan, ensuring fieldwork is completed on time and within budget
• Supervise and review the work of audit staff
• Read and review SEC filings, ensure accuracy and proper documentation in workpapers
• Plan and execute Section 404 internal control audits and assess control environment
• Apply GAAP, GAAS, Sarbanes-Oxley knowledge; communicate outcomes to clients and engagement teams
