Job summary

BDO USA is seeking an Assurance Senior to coordinate audit planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up, including preparing financial statements with disclosures in line with GAAP. The role involves client contact, reviews, and agreed-upon procedures engagements, with opportunities to lead staff and contribute to control testing.

You will apply GAAP/GAAS/SOX principles, supervise teams, and liaise with clients and engagement partners to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or statistics, required OR Bachelor’s in other focus area and CPA, required
• Master’s degree in Accountancy, preferred
• Two (2) or more years of prior audit experience, required
• Eligible to sit for the CPA exams upon starting employment, required and actively pursuing completion

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day audit planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up
• Coordinate and supervise fieldwork and staff assignments
• Communicate financial statement disclosures to clients and prepare draft statements
• Assist with Section 404 internal control audits and testing
• Coach less experienced team members and ensure adherence to firm procedures
• Maintain knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and SOX requirements and apply to client engagements
