Baker Tilly is seeking a Senior Associate for the Oil & Gas Managed Services team to provide accounting controls and financial reporting for upstream oil and gas clients. You will handle general ledger duties, GAAP reporting, and KPI tracking within a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting functions, including 2+ years in upstream oil and gas.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates.
• Public accounting and/or consulting experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of upstream oil and gas accounting concepts related to the balance sheet, income statement and cash flows.
• Strong professional network and experience in the upstream oil and gas industry.
• High motivation, initiative and positive attitude.
• Experience with Quorum On Demand, PakEnergy and other Upstream accounting software.
• Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to work in a cross-functional, deadline-driven environment serving multiple clients.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to learn innovative technology and processes quickly.
• Strong analytical thinker and problem solver.
• Team player, willing to roll up sleeves.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of planning and administering large outsourced accounting engagements.
• Knowledge of upstream oil and gas accounting departments including GL, A/P & JIB, and Revenue.
• Staff development and performance management.
• Hands-on with projects, process improvements, and client engagement profitability.
• Lead client engagement preparation and staff assignments.
• Ensure adherence to controls and client confidentiality.
• Set up and configure software to match client processes.
