Whitley Penn is seeking a Controller for an outsourced accounting role focused on Oil & Gas Upstream clients. You will lead and train staff, manage multiple engagements, and ensure compliance with GAAP/GAAS while developing value-added services.

The role emphasizes strong client management, engagement economics oversight, and the ability to drive process improvements within a high-growth firm.

Qualifikationen

• 7-10+ years of Oil & Gas accounting and analysis, Upstream/E&P.
• Public accounting or professional services experience preferred.
• Experience setting up accounting functions and implementation.
• Proficiency in GAAP and GAAS for Oil & Gas upstream/E&P.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Aufgaben

• Develop tools, systems and processes for Oil & Gas Upstream accounting clients.
• Serve as a liaison between the partner, the client and the staff.
• Manage multiple engagements; monitor engagement economics and workflow.
• Develop client service plans with the team and assign tasks.
• Identify technical issues and ensure compliance with standards.
