Job summary

Lee Health through the FSU College of Medicine Internal Medicine Residency Program at Cape Coral Hospital seeks an Associate Program Director to provide administrative and clinical oversight of the residency program. The APD collaborates with the Program Director, mentors residents, and ensures compliance with ACGME requirements while supporting education across multiple clinical sites.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Residency Program in Internal Medicine
• Unrestricted Florida medical license (or ability to obtain)
• DEA license (unrestricted)
• Minimum 3 years teaching or faculty experience in GME
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS credentials

Responsibilities

• Assist Program Director with overseeing quality of didactic and clinical education at all sites.
• Evaluate and approve program faculty participation based on evaluation results.
• Prepare and submit information required by the ACGME in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with grievances and due process procedures.
• Provide residency education verification and monitor residents’ duty hours and schedules.
