Job summary

Lee Health's Internal Medicine Faculty/Transitional Year position invites experienced internists to teach and mentor residents at the Cape Coral and Lee Health Academic Center in Southwest Florida. You will collaborate with program directors, develop curricula, and deliver hands-on training across medicine, residency didactics, and clinical service with an emphasis on bedside teaching.

Qualified MD/DO with Florida license or eligibility, completion of an Internal Medicine residency, DEA license,

Qualifications

• MD/DO with Board-certified Internal Medicine.
• Unrestricted Florida medical license or eligibility to obtain.
• Graduate of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program.
• Current DEA registration.
• Must comply with ACGME core faculty requirements.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS credentials.

Responsibilities

• Teaching, supervising, and evaluating internal medicine residents with real-time feedback.
• Participate in remediation of residents.
• Participate in didactic conferences including M&M, EMB, journal club, daily morning report, noon conferences as lecturer.
• Faculty physicians will dedicate an average of 15 hours per week to the program.
