Lee Health is seeking an Associate Program Director for the FSU College of Medicine Internal Medicine Residency Program at Cape Coral Hospital. This role partners with the Program Director to oversee didactic and clinical education across sites, ensure ACGME compliance, and mentor residents in a supportive, academic environment.

The APD will also participate in education program development, evaluate faculty, and maintain resident records.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited Residency Program in Internal Medicine with Board Certification (or Board Eligibility)
• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in Florida, or ability to obtain prior to start date
• Clear, unrestricted DEA
• Minimum 3 years experience in teaching or faculty capacity in a graduate medical education program
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS credentials through the American Heart Association
• Must comply with all ACGME core faculty requirements

Responsabilidades

• Ensure the quality of didactic and clinical education at all participating sites and provide ongoing evaluation of program faculty
• Ensure all steps and submissions are completed timely to meet all ACGME requirements
• Monitor resident volume and work environment and adjust schedules/provide mitigation when appropriate
• Participate in the following committees: Program Evaluation, Clinical Competency, and resident selection
• Maintain all appropriate permanent records, evaluate residents twice a year and handle all disciplinary action
• Oversee educational and lecturer schedules and execute attendance tracking methods
