Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school; active bar membership
• 15–20 years of legal experience, ideally blending top‑tier law firm training with in‑house experience at a public company or highly regulated industry
• Deep experience in insurance regulation (admitted and non‑admitted markets strongly preferred) and/or federal securities law
• Preferred background: public company advisory, regulated industries — with particular interest in insurance, privacy/cybersecurity, and emerging AI regulation

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal and regulatory guidance on state admitted and non-admitted insurance carrier matters, including licensing and multistate issues
• Advise on compliance with federal securities laws, including public company reporting obligations and SEC requirements
• Help develop regulatory outreach strategies and author thought leadership pieces for regulators and the industry
• Support the Corporate Secretary on Board materials, governance policies, and records
• Identify and implement department-wide processes to increase efficiency and scalability
