Job summary

Howard University’s One Stop Student Services Center is hiring an Associate Director to lead day-to-day operations and supervise 9 staff, ensuring seamless, student-centered service across financial aid, student accounts, registration, and records.

In collaboration with the Director and campus partners, you will develop policies, establish service standards, and use data and technology to continuously improve the student experience in a busy in-person environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience in higher education services or related administrative functions.
• Understanding of student information systems, registration, financial aid, and student accounts.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the One Stop Student Services Center across financial aid, student accounts, registration, and records.
• Directly supervise professional staff including hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluation.
• Implement and monitor service protocols, quality standards, and performance metrics.
• Work with the Director and campus partners to streamline processes and improve the student experience.
• Leverage technology, data, and analytics to identify efficiencies and improvements.
• Maintain a visible presence in the Center and engage with students to address concerns.
• Develop and implement policies that align with university regulations and procedures.
• Ensure clear communication with students through multiple channels.
