Job summary

Howard University is seeking an Associate Director for the One Stop Student Services Center in Washington, DC. You will lead day-to-day operations, oversee nine staff, and coordinate with financial aid, student accounts, registration, and records to deliver a streamlined, student-centered experience.

The role requires strong leadership, process improvement, and a deep understanding of higher education regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in higher education services or related administrative functions.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the One Stop Student Services Center, ensuring seamless, student-centered service delivery across financial aid, student accounts, registration, and records.
• Directly supervise professional staff including hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
• Implement and monitor service protocols, quality standards, and performance metrics for timely, accurate resolutions.
• Collaborate with Director and campus partners to streamline processes and resolve complex issues.
• Leverage technology and data to identify efficiencies and inform decisions.
