Cumming Group is seeking an Associate Director, Cost Management for its Los Angeles, CA office to oversee cost management on diverse projects from preconstruction through closeout.

You will supervise the Cost & Commercial Management team, manage budgets and monthly billing, develop fee proposals, mentor staff, and coordinate with service lines.

This senior role requires 6–12 years in cost/quantity surveying with professional accreditation and a track record in business development.

Qualifications

• Education: BS in Construction, Cost & Commercial Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• Experience: 6 to 12 years in Cost & Commercial Management or Quantity Surveying with professional accreditation.
• Preferred Certification: MRICS, AssocRICS, CCP, CEP or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a large client or multiple small clients by supervising communications with the client management and Cost & Commercial Management team.
• Promote opportunities for repeat business and create favorable references through performance excellence and client relationship management.
• Maintain monthly project budgets for current and forecasted expenditures.
• Responsible for monthly billing and projections.
• Lead the development of staff through supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring.
