Job summary

Piedmont Health Services, Inc. in Durham, NC seeks an Associate Director of Behavioral Health to lead and advance behavioral health services across community health centers and school programs.

You will supervise multidisciplinary teams, ensure HRSA-aligned care, and integrate behavioral health into primary care while delivering patient-centered outcomes. The role includes clinical time, collaboration with care teams, and ongoing program development to expand access and quality in a nonprofit

Qualifications

• Education: Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
• Experience: 7 years progressive behavioral health clinical experience; 3 years supervisory/leadership experience.
• Experience with school-based behavioral health, pediatric behavioral health, or community mental health.
• Experience with HRSA funded health centers and grant-funded programs preferred.
• Experience with an FQHC or nonprofit healthcare organization preferred.
• Licensure: North Carolina licensure (LCSW, LCMHC, or LMFT).

Responsibilities

• Oversee development and implementation of behavioral health services across Piedmont Health's centers and school programs.
• Collaborate with medical, dental, pharmacy, nursing, care management, QA, and operations leadership for integrated care.
• Provide administrative and clinical supervision to staff; allocate clinical time for patient care.
• Promote awareness and education of behavioral health services within the organization.
