Job summary

BARNARD COLLEGE is seeking a Senior Associate Director, Individual Giving to drive annual revenue and alumnae participation. You will manage a portfolio of ~150 donors, lead Giving Day with Columbia, and coordinate with the Advancement team to meet annual goals.

Ideal candidate has 5–7 years in higher education fundraising, strong communication and leadership skills, and experience with donor databases. Full-time, on-site role with potential for cross-department collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years progressive fundraising experience in higher education or non-profit organization.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience using donor databases (e.g. Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, or similar) and VMS systems (e.g. Give Campus).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with diplomacy and tact.
• Ability to lead, inspire, and coordinate volunteers and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Actively manage a portfolio of approximately 150 donors/prospects and develop solicitation strategies for unrestricted, leadership, restricted or endowed gifts.
• Lead Giving Day and coordinate with Columbia University team as Barnard lead for annual giving fundraisers.
• Assist in setting portfolio and class goals to meet annual fundraising targets.
• Recruit and train alumnae volunteers, prepare materials, and set class dollar and participation goals.
• Develop and implement fundraising programs and alumnae committees in collaboration with Advancement teams.
