The Travelers Indemnity Company in Houston, TX, is seeking an Associate Senior Counsel to handle a caseload of predominantly moderate to higher exposure insurance defense matters. You will leverage trial experience to pursue verdicts or negotiated resolutions and mentor junior attorneys while collaborating with experts.

Applicants should have a JD, 4 years of practicing attorney experience, and an active license to practice law in required states.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate or equivalent law degree; graduate of an accredited law school.
• 4 years experience as a practicing attorney.
• Active license to practice law in required states.
• Regularly handles hearings, trials, depositions and has ability to travel.

Responsabilités

• Handle a caseload of predominantly moderate and higher exposure cases, including Major Case matters.
• Apply litigation skills to try cases to verdict or negotiate resolutions.
• Conduct proficient legal research and write persuasive pleadings, motions, briefs.
• Attend court events, depositions and other appointments independently.
• Mentor less experienced attorneys and collaborate with experts.
