Job summary

Boston University in Boston, MA is seeking a Senior Associate Athletics Director to join the senior administrative team, partnering with the Director of Athletics to position BU Athletics for success in a rapidly evolving college athletics landscape.

Responsibilities include providing visionary oversight for student-athlete welfare, overseeing academic, compliance, and wellness initiatives; developing leadership programs; serving as Deputy Title IX coordinator; coordinating with campus units;

Qualifications

• Master's Degree and at least eight years of administrative experience at a Division 1 level college/university preferred.
• A Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary oversight for student-athlete welfare, including academic, leadership, career development and performance & wellness initiatives.
• Oversee and direct all academic, compliance, social and community activities for student-athletes.
• Develop and implement leadership, mentoring and career development programs for student-athletes, coaches and staff.
• Serve as Deputy Title IX coordinator.
• Serve as liaison to multiple on-campus units, including the Dean of Students, Admissions, Equal Opportunity Office, and wellness services.
• Work with the senior team to accomplish Director’s objectives and be sport administrator for assigned programs.
