Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's Degree and at least eight years of administrative experience at a Division 1 level college/university preferred.
• A Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) is required.

• Provide visionary oversight for student-athlete welfare, including academic, leadership, career development and performance & wellness initiatives.
• Oversee and direct all academic, compliance, social and community activities for student-athletes.
• Develop and implement leadership, mentoring and career development programs for student-athletes, coaches and staff.
• Serve as Deputy Title IX coordinator.
• Serve as liaison to multiple on-campus units, including the Dean of Students, Admissions, Equal Opportunity Office, and wellness services.
• Work with the senior team to accomplish Director’s objectives and be sport administrator for assigned programs.

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training and internal pay comparison. The Senior Associate Athletics Director serves as a strategic member of the senior administrative team, working closely with the Director of Athletics to position BU Athletics for success in a rapidly evolving college athletics landscape.

• Provides visionary oversight for student-athlete welfare, which includes academic, leadership, career development and performance & wellness initiatives.
• Oversees and directs all academic, compliance, social and community related activities for student-athletes.
• Develops and implements leadership, mentoring and career development programs for student-athletes, coaches and staff.
• Serves as Deputy Title IX coordinator.

• Works closely with other members of the senior team and respective units to ensure that the objectives of the Director are accomplished.

Required Skills
