Position Information

The Senior Associate Athletics Director, External Relations, provides strategic leadership and executive oversight for all external‑facing functions of UC Riverside Intercollegiate Athletics. The position directs marketing, communications, digital strategy, fan experience, broadcasting, and ticketing to drive revenue, boost attendance, and elevate Highlander Athletics. Serving as a key department ambassador and the primary liaison for multimedia rights, campus partners, and corporate sponsors, the Senior Associate Athletic Director aligns cross‑functional teams to enhance the visibility, engagement, and financial sustainability of all 17 sports programs.

The salary range for the Senior Associate Athletics Director, External Relations position is $103,100.00 - $196,300.00 annually. However, the expected pay scale is up to $173,000.00 annually. Salary offers are based on a variety of considerations, including education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, UCR is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for staff.
