Job summary

Capital One’s Governance, Valuations, & Innovation (GV&I) team is seeking a process-driven Senior Associate to manage day-to-day risk operations, governance workflows, and credit risk frameworks. The role partners with Lines of Business, Product, Technology, Operations, and Risk to drive operational excellence and maintain a strong control environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience in finance or risk management.
• Experience in risk management or process management in financial services.
• Familiarity with credit risk frameworks and control environments.
• Interest or experience with AI-enabled workflow improvements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary BAC to ensure seamless execution of the credit policy lifecycle.
• Identify process improvements and leverage AI tools to optimize workflows and reporting.
• Govern day-to-day administration of Credit Approval and Credit Exception frameworks.
• Oversee end-to-end Policy Adherence process and recurring reporting routines.
• Validate and maintain the inventory of Risks, Requirements, and Controls for CR&A.
• Perform User Acceptance Testing of enhancements to supporting credit risk technology.
• Draft release materials and communications for change initiatives.
• Leverage data to provide insights for data-based decisions.
• Support ad-hoc GV&I initiatives and cross-functional workstreams.
