Summary:Organized and self-motivated Accounts Payable professional with 5+ years of experience supporting financial and administrative operations. Skilled in full-cycle AP processes, reconciliations, month-end close activities, and policy implementation. Known for high accuracy, a strong sense of urgency, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrated deep understanding of full-cycle Accounts Payable workflows and their upstream/downstream impacts.
- Managed daily AP operations across global regions, including invoice entry, reconciliation, and resolution.
- Assisted with month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, supporting schedules, and account reconciliations.
- Performed detailed AP ledger account reconciliations, ensuring integrity and accuracy.
- Supported internal and external audits by preparing financial documents and responding to inquiries.
- Participated in annual 1099 / 1042 tax filing activities.
- Contributed to ad-hoc accounting and financial reporting projects.
- Implemented and maintained accounting policies, internal controls, and system processes.
- Identified and proposed process improvements and business initiatives for greater efficiency.
- Assisted with corporate/Purchasing Card program administration and reconciliation.
- Supported the creation and revision of internal policy documentation and training materials.
- Resolved AP issues in compliance with company policies.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
- Experience: 5+ years in Accounts Payable roles
- Systems: Proficient in Microsoft Office and various accounting software/tools
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP, compliance standards, and internal controls
- Soft Skills: Analytical thinking, problem-solving, time management, confidentiality, and customer service
