Job summary

Acacia Network is seeking an Assistant Program Director to oversee Clinical and Social Services within the shelter, ensuring care quality and regulatory compliance. You will supervise Intake Services and Case Management, collaborate with the Program Director to develop, implement, track, report, and evaluate outcomes.

The role involves managing daily operations, coordinating with medical and psychiatric providers, and maintaining thorough documentation to meet DHS requirements.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Human Services or related field is required.
• Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field is preferred.
• Five (5+) years of experience with homeless population or special needs population (mental illness, substance abuse, HIV, etc…).
• Three (3+) years must be in a managerial position.
• SIFI (Seminar in Field Instruction) preferred.
• Professional experience or desire to work with homeless and other underserved populations and communities.
• Bilingual (English and Spanish), preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Program Director with the administration of the program.
• Effectively manage the entire building in the absence of the Program Director.
• Oversee the day to day operations of the Social Service program.
• Delegate and monitor client-related operational responsibilities to Intake and Case Management team members.
• Oversee the timely assessment of clients upon admission and update care plans.
• Facilitate interdepartmental communication and staff meetings.
• Attend meetings with funders or outside agencies.
• Connect with community leaders to build connections and troubleshoot issues.
• Report significant events to the Program Director.
• Liaise with DHS Intake Centers and DHS Management.
• Develop and implement a system to ensure medication compliance weekly.
• Develop program content addressing housing, substance abuse treatment, mental health, and employment.
• Plan and organize program activities to maximize contract and performance goals.
