Job summary

UC Irvine's School of Social Ecology seeks an experienced senior administrator to serve as Assistant Dean, partnering with the Dean to drive strategic priorities and oversee daily operations. The role entails directing resources, managing budgets, facilities, IT, and HR, and ensuring policy implementation across programs.

The ideal candidate will have strong metrics-driven analysis, collaborative leadership, and extensive experience in higher education administration, including accreditation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent experience/training.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• Proven ability to establish metrics for department and employee goals.
• Thorough knowledge of financial analysis, HR and risk management, and payroll.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative leadership and day-to-day management of School operations.
• Define strategic priorities with the Dean and implement operational objectives.
• Manage resources including financial strategy, space planning, computing, and human resources.
• Develop and modify organizational policies affecting operations and potentially the entire organization.
