AAA Washington is seeking an Assistant Controller to manage core accounting operations, oversee month-end close, and ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting. The role supports regulatory compliance, asset safeguarding, and process improvements within a hybrid work setup in Bellevue, WA.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in accounting with 3+ years in leadership, a BA in business/finance, and strong Excel and ERP experience.

Qualifications

• 6+ years’ experience in accounting and accounting system technologies
• 3+ years’ experience in supervisory or leadership role

Responsibilities

• Manage core accounting operations including general ledger and financial reporting.
• Oversee month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and year-end audit prep.
• Ensure compliance, safeguard assets, and promote cost-effective practices.
• Prepare monthly/annual financial statements per GAAP and support audits.
• Perform technical accounting research and document issues.
• Lead Finance Department records to meet regulatory and tax requirements.
