Job summary

RoviSys is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join our Finance & Accounting team in Ohio. This hands-on role will own the monthly close, oversee AP/AR, and ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting across a multi-entity organization.

You will drive budgeting and forecasting, improve internal controls, and partner with operational leaders to analyze results and provide meaningful insights. CPA preferred but not required; strong Excel and ERP skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably including Controller/Assistant Controller roles.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial statement preparation.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage a monthly close.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting and intercompany transactions.
• Experience managing or overseeing AP/AR functions.
• Advanced Excel and ERP systems proficiency.
• CPA designation preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Own and independently complete the monthly financial close process from start to finish.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow).
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, deferrals, prepaids, fixed assets, and other month-end adjustments.
• Oversee AP and AR functions and ensure timely processing.
• Monitor aging and resolve outstanding balances.
• Assist budgeting and forecasting processes and provide variance analyses.
• Maintain internal controls and drive process improvements.
• Coordinate audits and compliance efforts.
