Hopelink is seeking an Assistant Controller- Finance in Redmond, WA. This hands-on role leads day-to-day accounting, supervises the Accounting Team, and ensures accurate monthly and year-end closes with strong internal controls.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in nonprofit accounting, GAAP expertise, and a CPA/CMA preferred. The position offers a hybrid schedule, with some in-person days and remote work where feasible.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including hands-on general ledger, journal entries, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge and practical application of GAAP.
• Nonprofit accounting experience preferred; federal grant knowledge helpful.
• Experience supervising accounting staff.

Responsabilités

• Manage the monthly accounting calendar and ensure timely closing.
• Prepare and post complex journal entries and review staff entries.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and review staff reconciliations.
• Oversee general ledger integrity and GAAP compliance.
• Research complex accounting issues and advise Controller.
• Assist in preparing monthly/annual financial statements and audits.
• Coordinate with Grants Team to ensure grant-related activity is recorded.
• Prepare financial filings and ensure timely reporting.
