Job summary

Colliers International in Atlanta seeks an Assistant Chief to organize, monitor, and supervise maintenance for a class A building. You will direct vendors, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure a safe, efficient tenant environment while protecting the building's value.

You will lead technical teams, manage budgets, and interface with the Property Manager to optimize operations and reporting. Strong HVAC, electrical, and BAS experience is essential.

Qualifications

• AA or equivalent from a two-year college with 4+ years of experience.
• 5+ years field experience in commercial mechanical systems operation and maintenance.
• 3+ years managing and supervising maintenance personnel.
• Effective communication with the Customer's Representative.
• Ability to draft reports and forms.
• Ability to read blueprints and BAS control drawings.
• Background in commercial kitchen equipment repair is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting of large, complex mechanical systems and controls.
• State and US EPA universal refrigeration certificate preferred.
• Proficient with Google Suite; no AI-screening tools used.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical, plumbing, and mechanical system maintenance.
• Monitor building operations to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Coordinate vendors and service contracts.
• Prepare monthly property and financial reports.
