Job summary

Xcel Energy Inc is seeking an accomplished project leader to drive end-to-end project management for large, complex initiatives. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage scope, schedule, and budget, and align initiatives with financial, safety, and operational goals.

Hybrid work model with on-site collaboration three days a week. The role requires a strong background in project management, operations, and change management, plus ability to lead diverse teams and influence stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, Business, IT or related field.
• 10 years' experience in project management and process improvement.
• 10 years' experience in operations, technology, finance, or comparable function.
• Ability to facilitate, train, lead and influence others; adapt to change quickly.
• Experience with leading diverse/distributed work teams.
• Understanding of core business processes and industry trends.
• Knowledge of project planning and business need justification.

Responsibilities

• Project Planning: Identify options, develop business cases, secure approvals. Define deliverables, milestones, and budgets.
• Project Management: Deliver benefits; manage detailed plans; track progress and risks.
• Financial Management: Budgeting, forecasting, and actuals tracking; contract management.
• Resource Management: Forecast and manage internal/external resources; coach team members.
• Scope & Risk Management: Manage scope changes; develop mitigation plans.
• Relationship Management: Communicate status up to senior leaders and stakeholders.
