Job summary

Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) is seeking a Senior Asset Manager to join the Lending Department. You will monitor loans, track performance, and report on LIHTC and NMTC transactions, coordinating with Legal and Credit teams.

The role requires strong credit analysis, relationship management, and the ability to manage multiple assignments. Some travel is required. Competitive salary and benefits are offered by LISC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience with loan asset portfolio management, acquisitions, credit, and underwriting in community development.
• Minimum five (5) real estate experience with working knowledge of real estate finance and/or operations.
• Experience managing and negotiating loan workouts, restructurings and real estate owned.
• Lending experience in affordable rental/for-sale housing or related sectors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a loan portfolio spanning multiple product types as part of LISC’s lending activity.
• Conduct credit assessment through analysis of financial statements, performance vs projections, and covenants.
• Monitor disbursements on lines of credit and predevelopment.
• Maintain relationships with borrowers and identify new opportunities via regular communication and site visits.
• Track delinquent loans and coordinate with internal teams to address maturities and issues.
• Evaluate loan modifications and prepare post-closing amendment requests.
• Ensure data quality in loan administration systems and develop data policies.
• Prepare reports on complex loans, restructurings, and workouts.
• Conduct ongoing borrower check-ins and provide timely information to staff.
• Some travel is required.
