Job summary

LISC is seeking a Senior Asset Manager to oversee a diverse loan portfolio, including LIHTC and NMTC transactions. You will monitor performance, manage borrower relationships, coordinate with Lending, Legal and Credit teams, and lead efforts on workouts and restructurings.

Travel may be required. The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in real estate/asset management, with strong analytical, communication and Excel/Salesforce skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• 5+ years’ real estate experience with working knowledge of real estate finance and/or operations.
• Experience managing and negotiating loan workouts, restructurings and real estate owned.
• Lending experience in sectors such as affordable housing, charter schools, community health centers, small business, and commercial development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a loan portfolio spanning multiple product and project types provided by LISC.
• Perform proactive loan monitoring including disbursements, covenants, and risk ratings.
• Maintain borrower relationships and identify new business opportunities through regular communication and site visits.
• Track delinquency and maturities and coordinate across departments to ensure accurate documentation.
• Propose and implement loan workout and restructuring strategies as needed.
• Evaluate feasibility of loan modifications and prepare post-closing amendments.
• Monitor insurance compliance and review updated certificates and policies.
• Prepare write-off memos and ensure data quality in the loan system.
