Job summary

Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) is seeking a Senior Asset Manager to oversee a diverse loan portfolio and monitor performance, especially LIHTC and NMTC transactions, reporting and workouts as needed. You will coordinate with Lending and Legal teams to ensure covenant compliance and timely actions across the portfolio.

The role requires strong credit, analytical, and relationship management skills, with data quality oversight and periodic site visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience with loan asset portfolio management, acquisitions, credit, and underwriting in community development.
• Minimum five (5) years’ real estate experience with working knowledge of real estate finance and/or operations.
• Experience managing and negotiating loan workouts, restructurings and real estate owned.
• Lending experience in affordable housing, schools, health centers, small business or commercial development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a loan portfolio spanning product and project types as part of community development lending.
• Conduct credit assessment of loans, analyze financial statements, covenant compliance, and performance vs underwriting.
• Monitor disbursements on lines of credit and predevelopment.
• Maintain borrower relationships and identify new business opportunities with regular communication and site visits.
• Track delinquent and maturing loans; coordinate across teams to ensure documentation and records are current.
• Evaluate loan modifications and propose workout or restructuring strategies.
• Ensure data quality in the loan administration system and develop related data policies.
• Prepare reports on complex loans, restructurings, modifications, and workouts.
• Interacts with LISC staff to provide accurate, timely information; some travel is required.
