Job summary

City of Seattle’s Office of Housing is seeking an Asset Management Division Manager to lead compliance monitoring and strategic asset management for affordable and market‑rate housing funded by the City. You will guide a team responsible for fiscal health, compliance, and redevelopment planning across about 20,000 income/restricted units.

You will set direction, mentor five staff including four asset managers and one advisor, and collaborate with legal and financial partners to ensure high

Qualifications

• Experience in multifamily affordable housing asset management.
• Experience supervising staff and coordinating cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to interpret local housing laws, contracts, and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of city financing, LIHTC, and bond financing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee asset management operations to ensure fiscal and physical soundness of the portfolio.
• Identify problems from property reports, site visits, and third‑party studies and implement action plans.
• Conduct analyses to inform asset management policies and decisions.
• Interpret development agreements, management/leasing plans, and covenants with city requirements.
• Develop internal asset management systems, reporting, and tools; mentor staff.
