Job summary

Westport One is seeking a Senior Associate, Asset Management to drive portfolio performance and value creation in commercial real estate investments. You will own assets, monitor performance against plans, and analyze budgets, NOI, and cash flows while addressing financial and leasing issues to optimize value.

The ideal candidate has 3–7 years of CRE asset management experience with hands-on underwriting, modeling, valuation and investment analysis.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience in commercial real estate asset management, investments, acquisitions, lending, portfolio management or a closely related field.
• Hands-on experience with underwriting, financial modeling, valuation and investment analysis.
• Strong communication and relationship-management skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of assigned assets and monitor performance against underwriting and business plans.
• Analyze budgets, forecasts, NOI, cash flow and variances.
• Identify financial, operational and leasing issues that affect investment outcomes.
• Evaluate valuations, hold/sell considerations, refinancing opportunities and capital projects.
• Collaborate with Property Management, Brokerage, Construction, Accounting and senior leadership; interact with investors, lenders, attorneys, brokers and other external partners.

Senior Asset Manager

Our client is a growing real estate investment and asset-management organization focused on acquiring and repositioning underutilized, undervalued and distressed commercial properties, and is seeking a Senior Associate, Asset Management to play a meaningful role in driving portfolio performance and value creation.

In this role, you'll take ownership of assigned assets, monitor performance against underwriting and business plans, analyze budgets, forecasts, NOI, cash flow and variances, and identify the financial, operational and leasing issues that can make or break an investment. You'll also have the opportunity to evaluate valuations, hold/sell considerations, refinancing opportunities, capital projects and other strategies designed to enhance asset value—so this is much more than updating spreadsheets and waiting for month‑end reports.

The ideal candidate brings approximately 3–7 years of experience in commercial real estate asset management, investments, acquisitions, lending, portfolio management or a closely related field, along with genuine hands‑on experience with underwriting, financial modeling, valuation and investment analysis. You should be comfortable understanding how an investment was originally underwritten, determining whether the asset is performing as expected, and using the numbers to recommend what should happen next. You'll work closely with Property Management, Brokerage, Construction, Accounting and senior leadership while also interacting with investors, lenders, attorneys, brokers and other external partners, making strong communication and relationship‑management skills just as important as your Excel skills.
