Job summary

Bamboo Equity Partners is seeking a Senior Associate, Asset Management to lead day-to-day asset management for a portfolio of commercial real estate assets across the United States. You will work with Property Management, Brokerage, Accounting, Construction and external partners to implement asset business plans and drive value.

The role requires strong underwriting, budgeting and financial analysis skills, with 3–7+ years in CRE asset management.

Qualifications

  • 3-7+ years of experience in commercial real estate asset management, investments, acquisitions, lending, portfolio management, or related fields.
  • Experience managing commercial real estate assets and analyzing property financial performance.
  • Strong understanding of underwriting, budgeting, forecasting, leasing, and investment structures.
  • Experience working with cross-functional real estate teams and external stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field required.
  • Advanced real estate or financial credentials (CCIM, CPM, CFA, MBA, MSRE) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage a portfolio of commercial real estate assets to maximize value and optimize asset performance.
  • Monitor asset performance against underwriting assumptions, annual business plans, and budget expectations.
  • Identify changes in asset performance and develop recommendations to address financial, operational, leasing, and market-related risks.
  • Conduct ongoing asset risk evaluations and ensure appropriate monitoring and mitigation strategies are implemented.
  • Analyze occupancy trends, lease expirations, tenant concentrations, market conditions, and operational performance to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Evaluate hold/sell scenarios, refinancing opportunities, and value-enhancement initiatives.
  • Analyze operating and financial performance of assigned assets, including revenue, expenses, cash flow, and NOI.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual asset performance reporting packages.
  • Perform variance analyses and communicate key drivers of performance to leadership.
  • Support annual operating and capital budget development and ongoing forecasting efforts.
  • Track asset performance against approved budgets and business plans.
  • Assist with asset valuations, financial modeling, and investment analyses.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field

The Senior Associate, Asset Management is responsible for proactively managing the financial, operational, and strategic performance of an assigned portfolio of commercial real estate assets throughout the United States. This role serves as the day-to-day asset management lead for an assigned portfolio of properties and requires an in-depth understanding of asset-level operations, investment structures, underwriting assumptions, financial performance, and risk management.

The Senior Associate works cross-functionally with Property Management, Brokerage, Accounting, Construction, and external partners to implement asset business plans, identify opportunities to enhance asset value, mitigate risk, and support the achievement of portfolio performance objectives. The role is responsible for translating strategic direction into actionable asset-level initiatives and measurable results.

Asset Performance & Risk Management
  • Proactively manage a portfolio of commercial real estate assets to maximize value and optimize asset performance.
  • Monitor asset performance against underwriting assumptions, annual business plans, and budget expectations.

Asset Business Plan Execution
  • Assist in developing annual asset business plans and strategic initiatives.
  • Execute approved asset strategies and track progress toward established objectives.
  • Monitor market conditions and recommend modifications to business plans based on changing economic, competitive, or operational factors.
  • Coordinate implementation of value-creation initiatives and operational improvement programs.
  • Monitor execution of approved capital projects and ensure alignment with investment objectives.
Construction & Capital Project Oversight
  • Coordinate tenant improvement projects and construction draw requests.
  • Review project budgets, draw packages, and supporting documentation.
  • Assess construction-related investment and lending risks.
  • Collaborate with Design, Construction and Property Management teams to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within approved budgets.
  • Track capital expenditures and evaluate projected versus actual investment returns.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day asset management contact for assigned properties.
  • Work closely with Property Management, Brokerage, Construction, and Accounting teams to optimize asset performance and resolve issues.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for asset-level operational concerns and formulate solutions that support positive outcomes.
  • Facilitate collaboration among internal and external stakeholders to achieve portfolio objectives.
  • Support leasing initiatives through lease analysis, occupancy reviews, tenant retention efforts, and market evaluations.
Reporting & Investor Support
  • Manage timely completion of portfolio reporting and deliverables.
  • Prepare asset performance summaries, dashboards, and investment reporting packages.
  • Support the Investor Relations team with asset-level reporting, performance updates, and information requests.
  • Assist with lender, investor, and ownership reporting requirements.
  • Present findings, analyses, and recommendations to senior leadership as appropriate.
Legal & Stakeholder Management
  • Analyze and interpret leases, loan documents, operating agreements, management agreements, and other legal documents impacting asset performance.
  • Monitor compliance with loan covenants, contractual obligations, and ownership requirements.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with third-party vendors, consultants, lenders, brokers, attorneys, and professional service firms.
  • Coordinate communication and information flow among asset stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
  • 3-7+ years of experience in commercial real estate asset management, investments, acquisitions, lending, portfolio management, or related fields.
  • Experience managing commercial real estate assets and analyzing property financial performance.
  • Strong understanding of underwriting, budgeting, forecasting, leasing, and investment structures.
  • Experience working with cross-functional real estate teams and external stakeholders.
