Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Sr. Asset Introduction Engineer to lead the reliability acceptance of new equipment and ground systems across production, test, and launch operations.

The role requires developing maintenance plans, criticality assessments, and spare parts strategies, plus hands-on field engagement and detailed commissioning documentation to ensure assets enter service ready for use.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Systems, or related field.
• Experience in reliability, maintenance engineering, or operations in manufacturing or aerospace.
• Experience leading equipment commissioning and FAT/SAT activities.
• Experience developing preventive maintenance plans and spare parts strategies.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
• Willingness to travel 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead reliability acceptance and commissioning for new assets entering service.
• Develop PM plans, criticality assessments, and spare parts strategies.
• Own asset setup in Maximo or equivalent CMMS with data integrity.
• Coordinate FAT and SAT activities with vendors and operations.
• Create commissioning documentation and asset introduction packages.
• Monitor asset introduction pipeline and surface schedule risks.
