Job summary

U.S. Bank in Newport Beach seeks a senior asset-based lending professional to lead origination efforts, provide ABL product support to the Institutional Client Group, and collaborate with peer product partners to structure and price transactions.

The role requires deep working-capital knowledge, strong client-facing and leadership skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally with underwriting, sales, and enablement teams to drive growth while mitigating risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting or related field.
• 10-15 years of asset-based lending experience with strong people leadership, communication, risk management, and organizational skills.
• Strong asset-based credit skillset with a solution-oriented approach that mitigates risk.
• Strong client-facing experience at the C-suite level leading to account growth and relationship depth.
• Strong understanding of working capital needs and cross-functional collaboration to deliver holistic client solutions.
• Deep knowledge of working capital products and related ancillary solutions anchored in asset-based lending.
• Proven ability to build partnerships across lines of business to drive sales growth.
• Ability to travel as required.
• Proficient in Salesforce, MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Developing prospective customers directly and with bank partners.
• Preliminary prospect analysis including structuring and pricing transactions against credit risk.
• Prepare memorandum to obtain senior management approval for proposals.
• Proposal preparation and presentation to prospective clients.
• Develop and maintain center of influence referrals (accountants, attorneys, equity sources, peer banks).
• Collaborating with underwriting to close loans; support credit memos, loan docs, onboarding.
